In this post I will cover the following:

- session highs/lows
- session pivots
- session hit rates
- session extensions

Important things to note:

I mainly trade reversals I do not use the generic session times (they will be listed as we go through) lets begin ↓

Asia session (00-06):

I stay awake for Asia during CME open on a Sunday night into the early hours of Monday morning

Why? - Monday daily high & low forming has a discrepancy for Asia & Close session where the probability of pivoting increases on that evening. 35% and 37%.

London session (06-12pm):

- Lowest chance of making the daily high or low, around 12%, which is much lower than other sessions.

Question: Has London formed either the daily high/low?

If yes, I want to know to avoid trading in the opposite direction of that pivot.

London [2]:

I can also use the above stat to target either London high/low example:

1. London puts the high in for the day
2. Price drops heading into NY into an internal liquidity POI
3. Orderflow reaction is all good
4. Take the long with the target of making a new daily high

NY session (12-8):

Highest probability of forming daily highs/lows in comparison with other sessions. Some days higher than others. Gather specific day info yourself as its good practice. I trade NY if price expands outside London session into key POIs with the anticipation of that forming the H/L

12:15-12:45:

Within this period there is increased volume (before official stock market open)

The likelihood of a reversal within this 30m period is higher than any other period throughout the day. I am trading from that period if I see the right reaction into a poi.

Close session (8-Close):

This session is only of interest to me on Sunday evening (as previously mentioned) CME open 11pm leads to increased volatility From my personal journal I have great success from trading off this close session if price is reacting from a liquidity level.

Hope you found this valuable
